Bio: Kasam von Fenris is the son of Baron von Fenris, a particularly wealthy noble who was assassinated by an equally wealthy merchant who disagreed with his positions on the amount of taxes from trade that should be paid into the pockets of the nobility. The Von Fenris family was systematically wiped out save for several young members--such as Kasam. He is a born leader: ruthless, intelligent, and intense.

Name: Kryoni

Appearance: Kryoni is a dazzling beautiful young woman from the lands where the desert stretches like an ocean over the land. Her dark brown eyes are hard and angry, filled with resentment. Her sharp nose and fine features mark her heritage as a woman of the desert very clearly. She is slightly taller than most women, but still below a man. When she speaks, her voice is deep and melodic, and somehow seems as if she is trying to fit strange and unfamiliar sounds into her speech.

Bio: Kryoni once lived as part of a nomadic desert tribe. Her tribe was raided by slave-takers, and she was taken into the colder lands of her captors. Kasam von Fenris saw the fire in her eyes, and purchased her for himself at great expense. Since then, she has followed him faithfully. He is the only person who can silence her when she is angry, and he is the only person who can stay her hand when she is violent.

Appearance: Cora is an albino: her skin is pale, her hair is white, and her eyes are blood red. She is heavily tattooed--in fact, the only part of her body not intricately laced with ink is her face. Her hair grows haphazardly in patches over her scalp, so she has braided it into dreadlocks. The result is rather pretty, if freakishly unusual. She is short, skinny, and she never changes her clothes--although she does take them off and wash them when she bathes, thankfully.

Bio: Cora was the daughter of a backwater village's magic woman. One year, there was a heavy famine in the lands around the village, and Cora's mother was labeled responsible and killed. Cora was an infant at the time, and the villagers reluctantly agreed that it was bad luck to murder an infant, and that the gods would not accept an unclean woman's child as a sacrifice. Cora grew up as the village orphan, given a run-down shack to sleep in and the scorn of the village to live on. When grew older, the chief's son approached her with lust in his eye and a too-bold hand. She hit him between the eyes with a rock, and was chained down in the center of the village. The next day, Kasam rode through the village during his escape from his father's enemies. He left with a ragged young woman accompanying him, and she has been with him ever since.

Appearance: Tason is a heavily muscled man from a land far across the seas. His skin is dark brown, his eyes are serious, and his hair is braided thickly towards a knot at the back of his head. He is broad-chested and easily over six-and-a-half feet tall.

Bio: Tason was captured by slave-takers one day when he and his betrothed were bathing in a pool by a waterfall. They both fought back, and Tason was wounded. She was killed. On the day the slave-ship arrived at its selling-port, Tason took one of the sailors by surprise and snapped his neck. He took the dead man's weapon and brutally slaughtered the rest of the crew, then jumped into the ocean and swam until the docks were far behind him. Work wasn't hard to find for a strong man like Tason, who had learned the language of the more "civilized" land on the slave-boat. Eventually, he ended up working as a bodyguard for a thieves-guild boss who put a price on Kasam's head. Kasam found the boss, and turned the tables by offering money for his head. Tason fended off all aggressors, until the boss's right-hand-man stabbed his employer in the back. Impressed by Tason's fighting skills, Kasam offered him a job. Tason, equally impressed, accepted.

Name: Anris

Appearance: Anris is completely blind. He wears a long scarf wrapped around his eyes. He has long, wavy hair, since he really can't be bothered to try to cut it and isn't about to let anyone with a pair of sharp scissors near him. He is of a moderate height, around six feet, and lean as a greyhound. He wears tightly belted leather clothing under a tattered cloak--all the more space to put things, as he says.

Age: 22

Bio: Anris wasn't always blind. When he was a boy, his eyes were badly burned and scarred when a pot of flaming coals was thrown at his face. The rest of the burns healed without leaving any scars, but his eyes were ruined. Despite this, he remained frighteningly intelligent, with ears like a fox. He taught himself to identify anyone by their footsteps--a trick which has never failed, no matter how large the crowd that surrounds him. His unusual appearance caught Kasam von Fenris's eye from the shadows, and his vast array of tricks and traps earned him a place at Kasam's side, where his deadly abilities have continued to serve the young exile ever since.
