The Island of Many Fates

Kasam smirked.

"That was less of a question and more of a gentle suggestion that you all get in pronto. By the time we make it back to the surface to see if the rain's gone, we won't have enough time to get back to the boat."

He bowed mockingly, sweeping his arm in a grand gesture towards the inside of the room.

"Please, make yourselves at home."

"Sure, let's stay here." David said. He and Richard stepped inside, and David walked to the back of the room, to examine the crystal.

Artemis laughed to himself, softly, and entered. "Most pleasing accommodations, sir Kasam. I take it that this island either is or was inhabited?"

Vivienne and Axelle stepped in silently. Axelle rubbed against Artemis accidentally. "Sorry." She breathed, and sat down on one of the mats.

Artemis sighed, then sat down next to Axelle. "It's okay," he muttered. "Having fun yet?"

Axelle looked over. "Sure."

Artemis shook his head, then laid down on the mat, stretching himself out. "It's been an interesting day, what with acid rain and a sea serpent and all..."

OOC: "rubbed against"? ROFL, Axelle. What is this, a porno RP? "My hand accidentally whacks you in the butt."

"I don't know if the island's ever been inhabited before," Kasam said, "but I do know that we're not the first to come seeking its treasure. Think of this more as a roadside inn in the middle of nowhere."

IC: Artemis glanced at Kasam. "Then apparently whoever made this place was stuck here for a rather long time."

OOC: Not my fault you've got a dirty mind. =P

IC: "Mmm, sounds fun. This island is just a happy little paradise," Axelle muttered. "Filled with fluffy things, like puppies and kittens...maybe a bunny or two...except that they kill you."

Shrugging, Alistar walked into the room with the others. He and Indigo immediately followed David to go look at the crystal, while Elsa stood looking around at the rest of the room.

Artemis turned to Axelle again, grinning. "I know. It's incredible." He ruffled her hair on impulsive, then stopped suddenly, and concentrated on a point in the ceiling ferociously.

"They'll be sucking on each others' faces within a day or two, mark my words," Kasam muttered. He didn't say it very quietly, either. Kryoni smirked at him, curled up in the corner, and went to sleep. He decided to follow suit and stretched himself out on one of the rough mats on the floor. It was scratchy, but warm. Warmth was a pleasant change after the cold of the sea voyage...

They'll be sucking on each others' faces within a day or two, mark my words.
"Shut up, Kasam. I mean, O Glorious and Exal-ugh." Artemis went bright red, a seemingly recurrent fad in him, and failed at sarcasm."Ehehehe." He glanced at Axelle rather nervously, awaiting her reaction.

Axelle was about ready to tackle Kasam and punch him, but she knew her place. She merely cracked a grin and moved closer to Artemis, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and planting a kiss on his lips. She moved back to her original seat and smiled warmly at Kasam.

Vivienne stared, snorted, and burst out laughing.

Artemis stared. And blushed. And felt his mind go blank. And nearly died. And resurrected. "Gaaaaah..." She didn't mean it. She doesn't like you that way. That was a f***-off kiss.
Hehe, that was fun.
Shut up.
"Gaaaaah..." Artemis fell backwards after uttering his witty comeback, with an idiotic look on his face. He then got back up and glared at Axelle in a mixture of annoyance, stupefaction, and...something else.

Axelle turned to Artemis. "Yes?" She asked, tilting her head to the side. "Did you want something?"

Artemis recoiled. "Eh...eh..."
Why does she keep making act the fool? This is so stupid!
"No-nothing." He sat up straight and stared determinedly and obviously in any direction that didn't have Axelle in it, blushing to the roots of his hair.

Axelle laughed and shook her head. She grabbed Artemis' hand and squeezed it reassuringly. "You liiiiked it." She whispered. "You know you diiiiiiid."

Okay, enough's enough. Time to tell her to f*** off. Artemis opened his mouth to speak, then felt the warmth of Axelle's hand on his. Okay, now to teacher her some respect. Artemis closed his mouth, then opened it again, ferociously, and gibbered pointlessly for a few seconds. "Gah. Gah..."
He swallowed, then muttered. "I...I...yes?"
Pure genius.

Axelle giggled, and pulled her hand back. She fell backwards, and closed her eyes. "Duuuude I'm sleeeepy."

"Yeah...you go to sleep." The faster, the better."
Artemis stood up, his face still red, and moved a little ways back, then crossed his arm and stared at Axelle.

David stared intently at the crystal in the wall. Soon, he grew bored, and turned around, just in time to catch the kiss. He smirked, moved to a pile of cloth, moved it into a corner, and sat down. "You two are quite a pair," he said, and laid back. Richard moved to the opposite corner, and he too lay down to rest.

Vivienne sat near David and smiled. "Aren't they just?" She asked, stifling another giggle. Axelle was already fast asleep.

Artemis shook his head, bemused. Everyone's insane.
