The Island of Many Fates

Kryoni bristled.

Artemis shrugged, then grabbed Axelle by the arm and pulled her away. As he left, he noticed Kryoni with a sour look on her face. "What's up with her?," he asked Kasam conversationally.

Axelle was pulled from her seat quickly. She glanced at Kyroni and blinked, wondering what was bugging her.

Kasam smiled slightly. "Kryoni doesn't like it when people disrespect me."

Kryoni's lips tightened, but she didn't say a word.

David shrugged. "Richard, I'm gonna go get some air. Do..whatever," he said, and he walked out of the cabin. He climbed up into the crow's nest.

Artemis shrugged yet again. "Overprotective girlfriend?" Smirking, he dragged Axelle away to the cabin.

Axelle was confused as to why she was being pulled. "Whaaaa!" She yelped, tripping over a board. "Geez, man! Slow down!"

Artemis ignored her. "Come on, I'm thirsty. Let's get something to drink."

Axelle grinned at the idea. "Oooh, lets!"

Artemis barged into their room, and closed the door. "Here you go." He tossed her a bottle of rum. "I'll have a glass of orange juice, myself."

Axelle took a swig. "Mmmmm yummy." She grinned. "Where the heck were you hiding this?"

"I always keep rum...for medicinal purposes." Artemis sipped his juice. "There's much more where that came from."

Axelle chugged more.

"Sho taaaashty..."

Artemis stared. "I had no idea...a pretty girl like you...could drink so very much." He tossed her another bottle. "Well, drink up then, I guess." Artemis laid on the bed and drank more juice.

Kasam smirked to himself, turning back to the porthole.

"You could say that...if you wanted to be castrated very badly."

Axelle smiled. "D'you wanna know whyy I can drink sho mucsh?" She asked, sliding over to Artemis.

"Uh...okay..." Artemis stared at the drunk or nearly drunk girl beside him. "W-why?"

"Beeecaaauussee..." Axelle started, her breath smelling distinctively of rum. "I am...A PIRATE PRINCESS!" She yelled, and doubled over in laughter.

"Um...you are?" Artemis sighed helplessly. Too much rum, he guessed.

"Well duuuuhhh." She responded, sticking out her tongue. "I'm on a ship. I am a princess. Therefore AHMA PIRATE PRINCESS!"

"Uh...you're a princess?" Artemis gulped. She was almost totally out of it. "Maybe...you shouldn't drink more rum..."

Axelle pulled the bottle from Artemis' reach. "Mm mm mm. No rum for the little boy!"

"Little boy? You're the one who..thinks she's a pirate princess..." Artemis shook his head in despair.

"Aheehee." Axelle giggled and stood. "Arrr, I be a pirate princess! Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for meee!"

Artemis swooned and collapsed onto the bed, smiling rather serenely. I love her..I mean the pirate princess...hehe... For the first time, Artemis registered the empty bottle of rum in his hand. "How'd that get there?" He smiled up at the swaying 'pirate princess'. "You never told me you were a princess, m'dear."
